Bunn is a master hat maker—milliner and hatter—who has been making and selling his hats from his shop in Harlem for 30 and better years. His amazing creations in felt, straw and other materials, are worn by men and women from church to stage, from every day to special events.

Bunn is a solo operation. He shops for and selects the materials himself, and he makes everything by hand and to order, always with a tape measure handy for accurate sizing. Everything is custom and personal—“classic and original,” is his motto. Bunn is also the lone salesman; and most of his clients are repeat visitors for the hats and jovial conversation.

Bunn worked for years in Brooklyn, and eventually settled in Harlem. A small businessman? A long-playing one with a reggae soundtrack in the background of the shop.
